I just LOVE this - just look at her body language, the way she is facing him all the time (I know she is talking to someone behind her, but when she stops talking to them she remains facing him, looking forward after that dreamy glance at him).
There is a still somewhere that I really want to find, taken around this point, where she is just looking at him so adoringly, they couldn't be anything else but in love.

They openly admitted to crushing on each other pretty hard during filming, with Chris telling Diane Sawyer the only reasons he didn't act on it was because Julie had Emma with her, and was so very busy being as she was almost every scene. He added "geography" with a laugh, as they were in different hotels. But in his book I think he was initially in the same hotel but 'to get out from under the watchful eye of Bob Wise' Chris moved to the Bristol. I wonder if it wasn't also to remove the temptation.
I love that they have stayed such wonderful friends, and clearly the chemistry they share has never faded. A fifty year relationship----whether platonic, romantic, or a combination----is surely love.

Considering his past and how he was with women, I think the fact that he respected her enough to not act on it was a sign of just how much he really did care about her and maybe even loved her, but they both went on to have long marriages with other people.

I'm not a big shipper. I adore CP and can definitely see they have a special friendship though. I think in these photos he looks intoxicated in general, not just with her! I actually thought in the film clip she looked slightly prim and nanny-ish but maybe that was my imagination, like "oh, Chris, drunk again?"

Oh I'm sure he was probably smashed. While I think they have great chemistry and are cute when together, I don't ship them either because I'd rather be shipping for Georg and Maria and not real life people.

I would doubt strongly that it is Pat, it is hard to tell from the angle but I remember Pat's face being much fuller than that of the woman in the photo. If I recall correctly from his book, he didn't have a 'date' for the premiere and as I said above, he sat at the bar with Bob Wise. |
