back to that smoking jacket - do you think he took that to Paris? I like to think he did. And then wore it one night. Only the smoking jacket. There could be a story in that. Maybe. Sorry, it is sweltering here and I think my brain is all gooey anyway.

I love the pic that revcap posted but I'm a little sad they they photoshopped his scar out. I find that scar particularly sexy!

It's there, ever so faintly. The lighting is such that it is a bit lost in the shadow.

I'm sure he took it but I'm not sure he would wear it or anything else much! LOL---I was just going to say, they probably only needed a single overnight bag for the both of them. I'm thinking Maria in the smoking jacket, actually.

I'm thinking Maria in the smoking jacket, actually. Chapter 6, Under the Cover of Darkness ;-) Yes of course! If she was to say, buy him a smoking jacket (although I would have considered it essential for traipsing across the Alps), what colour would it be?

Navy blue. Like that jacket Chris wore to accept his Oscar.

Does anyone have the original picture of the two of them that we see at the top of the forum?

I had it a couple of years ago and put it on the Facebook forum, from where I think Augiesannie took it to post it at the top of this one. So maybe she still has it because...horror of horrors, I can no longer find mine. Will keep looking...because it is the most heavenly of pictures!

Does anyone have the original picture of the two of them that we see at the top of the forum? I only have this version, it's slightly less orange and slightly bigger than the version used on the forum...I think, at least it seems that way. I wonder if someone has an even bigger version. Love love love this particular shot, because you can see their giggling.

eve93 and nicky, I just did a quick reverse google image search and this seems to be the biggest version there is. It's pretty massive.

All these years I knew something like that would exist, but never knew it was called "reverse google image search". When I find an image in Google images, I always press "Search by image" so you get all the different sizes, to see what's the biggest size. But even then you don't always get the biggest size available, it's often I find a bigger version of a certain picture later by accident. blaueaugen The one you posted is indeed double in size to the one I posted, thanks for that! Learnt something new as well today then with the "reverse google image search".

Thank you both for your searches. I just love the picture as you can see that CP/CvT is saying something to her. I had a notion of doing a drawing of it but I was hoping there might be an actual clear photo of it out there somewhere. It looks like someone has applied a filter to that one. A couple of people on here know that I want to run some sort of competition with a drawing as the prize. Unfortunately I have a problem with my shoulder and I'm having a small (but potentially painful!) procedure on it on Thursday so I've had to put drawing on hold for a while.

That's a bummer and I'm sure very frustrating. Hope it all goes well for you and that heals nicely.

eve93 and nicky , I just did a quick reverse google image search and this seems to be the biggest version there is. It's pretty massive. Wow, you really can see them smiling! I know this is not relevant to this thread, but if I recall from the last time I saw TSOM, I noticed in the minutes leading up to the kiss that, if you stare quite closely at the screen, you can see Julie trying to hold in a laugh. You can tell by her quivering cheek. It looks as if she wants to smile, but can't. I'll have to watch it again to be 100% sure. Did anyone else notice it? Or am I going crazy and imagining things that aren't there? If it is the latter, then I'll go and hide in a corner

Yes, bluesatinsashes, you can see her trying not to laugh. It also explains his slightly odd tone and smile when he asks her, "what else did the reverend mother say?', although it fits the moment, which is probably why Wise left it in.

I love this picture because you can see they're holding hands :') They are and it seems like such a private and intimate thing that they are doing and we are onlookers, privileged enough to see a glimpse of their immense love for one another. Also, if we didn't know better this could be just Chris and Julie sharing a private moment rather than Maria and Georg. Seriously romantic. Be still my shippy heart!

Oh man, you're going to make me go watch this scene again?! All right...all right, I'll make the sacrifice and take one for the team. Well, I was going to sit down and watch it myself but I was gonna wait for an opportunity (ahem, a sale) to purchase a blu-ray player to play the 50th anniversary blu-ray disc that I haven't opened yet! Yes, bluesatinsashes , you can see her trying not to laugh. It also explains his slightly odd tone and smile when he asks her, "what else did the reverend mother say?', although it fits the moment, which is probably why Wise left it in. Just what I thought! Can't believe I missed that all these years.
