Hi guys! It's so cool to have so many musically inclined people around here! In case you don't know, I'm Ele and I just joined this forum a two days ago! I'm really excited to contribute to this forum. So...I play the piano and the violin (a very common combination, isn't it?). I've been playing these instruments since I was five. I completed my piano diploma two years ago and ABRSM grade 8 in the violin exactly one year ago. I happen to be a part of a string ensemble, and I'm really grateful for the gift of music, especially when busking on the streets and seeing the joy that music brings to people :-) One of my favourite pieces played was a TSOM medley. My dream is to one day play the overture to the TSOM overture with an orchestra! Thanks for sharing! I love hearing everyone's story on their musical background. You are quite advanced at the piano and violin! Yes, I've always wanted to play a TSOM or Rodgers and Hammerstein medley in band! Haha I should have nagged my music director. Though we did play a Mamma Mia! medley in grade 8 and a Wicked medley in high school. I remember the latter being very difficult. We didn't rehearse it that much so we never performed it unfortunately. I know I mentioned this in another thread, but I dreamed of playing in the orchestra pit for a musical after watching a mind blowing high school production of My Fair Lady. Oh, silly 12 year-old me and my ridiculous goals!
