What's one of your favorite photos of Chris? This is the very first one I saved on my computer years ago (it's scanned from my printer because I lost my old computer) and it's been my favorite since! It's kinda hard to pick a favorite but this one sticks out for me! Would anyone happen to have a better version of this picture? I used to have it years ago but I lost it when my old PC died several years ago.

Oooh, but he looks so delicious here! Methinks it must be the jacket (why am I such a sucker for uniforms?!) Any one else weak at the knees at the sight of a uniform?

When is this from @msduckymallard33 ? It was from an old Chris fansite from years ago but unfortunately, the website's been updated so the picture isn't there. I had to scan it from when I printed the photo out.

Not a photo, but a video, posted yesterday of Chris Plummer playing an extremely moving rendition of Sondheim's Send in the Clowns. He really is (was, but I'm still in denial) a marvelous pianist. I cried watching it :') http://instagram.com/p/CK7AM-khkyI

So here is my favourite pic of CP (and JA), but I am always perplexed how different he looks from pic to pic. Compare with another photo from a similar time in his life (ok,with a strange hairdo), but it's like he is someone else. Do you think they narrowed his nose as Capt von T with makeup?

I think he was a chameleon and could change how his entire face looked with his mood.

I think they may well have used makeup to narrow his nose and face (to give an 'aquiline' profile, as they call it, common amongst European aristocracy).
But it also occurred to me that if his alcohol consumption had risen in the years after TSOM (when he was known for raffishness), then facial puffiness is quite commonly a result, so maybe that accounts for some of it. As well as the hard living...

I cried watching it :') I missed this and it’s so poignant “Losing my timing this late in my career” I think of how he left the world, it’s tragic. He was going to be in King Lear filming this summer. And has he himself would tell you “I AM a Shakespearean trained actor”. He would have adored it. I still cry at this darn it.

As well as the hard living... In his later years he had a very purple nose and red face that required a LOT of make up. I have a picture from a session, which I can’t share here, but he was put in tons of cover up for the “publicity shot” where you can clearly see the mic was not plugged in. Ugh. He quipped that it was “drunkards nose”. Make up was a friend to him. And yet still an outwardly beautiful person nonetheless.

ANeedlePullingThread, thank you so much for the poignant reflection on CP's untimely passing. I'm glad he at least went out looking forward and backward. And that is interesting about the makeup. Why can't you share it? I just want to be sure there isn't a technical problem.

I think I need an image host and I am so legitimately bad at this that I can’t figure it out lol!

I think you can see something of it here. From what I can see, he may have had rosacea ( a reddening skin condition of unknown cause) and rhinophyma, which sometimes occurs with it (a coarsening of the nose associated with a purple colour), both common in middle/old age, and neither of which have very effective treatments.

Most likely was. His self deprecation was always apparent. Just enough but never too much. It was strange to see what it took to cover it up, just for a few stills. A reminder that everyone, even those larger than life to us, are so very human, and still beautiful.

I'm desperately looking for good quality photos of young Chris and was wondering if any of you have or know where I can find this photo (attached), I think it's the one that revcap uses as an avatar. I've Googled it unsuccessfully... and I think it's a wonderful pic

I'm discovering new stuff (at least for me) in the "I love Christopher Plummer" Facebook group. It's private but you can request to join (if you're not already a member, which I wouldn't be surprised about). I swore not to go on Facebook and kept it for years but if you don't like my principles, I have others So I recently opened an account just for this This is the group: www.facebook.com/groups/2530321541Enjoy!
