Also, I remember one time o was watching TSOM with the commentary on and Julie was a saying about this scene with that costume (the golden, mustard suit/dress) about what a genius Dorothy Jenkins was when she designed it - totally showed the transistor and maturation of the character just in that one outfit.

So I'm just trying to get a catalogue of the post-wedding Maria and Georg looks, of how they can convey what they are saying to each other with just one look (and smouldering looks nonetheless - hot!). The first is the look/wink when Brigitta refers to Maria was Mother

Ok, love this one... Not necessarily a "look" but the way Georg trusts and confides in Maria in this scene, oh... I just melt! So nice to see how their relationship has moved to that next level in between their declaration of love to marriage and honeymoon. As I said before... Melt! then of course the kiss he gives her... Love these and also love the idea of a "collection" of images to show a theme or progression. This might make a great challenge! Other ideas out there?

I also think that part of the reason for her transformation has to do with where her focus lies. In the beginning of the film when she is her more fun, energetic self is when she is there primarily for the children. It is only after the Lanedler, when her more reserved self comes out and for that in between period leading up to the wedding we see a reserved version of Maria. Then after the wedding she is both reserved and more mature.
