It was a very long time ago when maryanne741 artfully photoshopped julie's head onto the Battle of Britain shot but I think she did #4 also. I'll go look.

I don't know that ff would allow me to publish the ones I'd write with this inspiration.

NO, I wouldn't post it here. I remember what you've said previously about that.

Can't you make a "closed topic" here? Don't know how these pro boards work

I think it's because there are some younger members here (under 18) that would be able to access these stories even if they were under a closed topic.
I think just keep it on ff.net (especially if it's really M rated)

I think just keep it on ff.net (especially if it's really M rated) Of course I understand it completely. People come here to join in and don't want to be left out somewhere. I'm not saying we should have a closed topic just thinking about a few possibilities. It's not that children under 18 can't access the M ratings. It's a warning and you can follow or ignore it.

...I was also told that the previous version of this community disappeared suddenly without reason, and the only possible explanation they got close to was that someone complained about the adult content. Which is sort of silly, since there are Proboards communities with MUCH randier content than anything we have here. But it only takes one disgruntled user to bring the whole thing down. I'd rather avoid the trouble. I have to say that I was kind of disappointed when Sandra didn't want to build another community, but now I kind of understand why. It would be demoralizing to start from scratch!

I understand why you want to keep the M rated stuff out of this forum... I wouldn't mind having another place to share M rated stuff... (my pirate story will be M rated...) just to see what people in here think before posting on ff.net.... but if it's way too much I guess I (and others who need help with and M rated fic) could make a note that help is needed and then others could say "hey I want to help" and then I could PM it to them an no one under 18 would read it Just and idea really....

Could we send links via message to M stories? Or would that still be a problem? I'd be fine giving my email to look at stories before they get published.

I'm happy to give my email address out privately (although I will continue to confuse me adding a fourth medium for us all to communicate (proboards, FB, ff.net and now email)

the only way i've figured out to send files is via email. maybe on facebook but it wouldn't be done privately, i don't think.

Right. You can't send a ff.net PM with any links except to ff.net stories. You can upload files to FB but then everyone in the group will see them. You CAN send a PM through this here site, to one or more people, but you can't include attachments. Are people saying that they want a private place for naughty stories? That's easy to do.

I'm happy to volunteer to set something up in the next few days. It won't be pretty at first (this one wasn't either). But if someone else would like to, please be my guest, it's easy.

As a past member of the previous TSOM ProBoards site that was taken down without warning or explanation, my thinking is that the admin staff of ProBoards vet content, and if they find ANYTHING that contravenes their ideals (are there rules?), then down comes the site, end of story.
Last month I came upon the admin correspondence site for PB, and there was a long correspondence between a man who had clearly spent ages building his site (I am not sure what about), asking why it had disappeared without trace. It appeared there was not going to be any info given out about it from PB, even though the man was adamant nothing in it was at all offensive/contravened rules. Rather sad, really.
So I would really encourage people to keep this site squeaky clean, and not to let any saucy stuff be connected in any way (even remotely)with PB, 'cause I couldn't bear it all to happen again, and I'm sure you wouldn't either.
