Shakespeare and MusicAnyone up for a road trip? Only 7 hour drive from my house I sent the link to my husband. We'll see if he takes the hint! Here's a link to a review of an earlier presentation of this program: link

I read that on Instagram! Oh how I would love to live in Canada or in the North of America right now... I do have summer holidays then... but we're already going to Greece in July. Not that I don't like Greece, always wanted to go there as well, but Canada is very high on my list of places to visit. And I'd give a kidney to see Mr. Plummer perform! I can check how expensive it is to go a week to Canada around the 7th and 8th of July. Might have to give away a kidney to be able to pay that! LOL

bluesatinsashes ah that's great that it'll come out on DVD as well! But then I would probably have to buy an all-region DVD player as you guys in Canada and the US have Region 1 DVDs and Western Europe has Region 2. It's never easy, is it? Plus to see him perform Shakespeare LIVE and the chance of actually meeting him sounds like a dream come true... I really do hope you get to see him and be able to volunteer for one of the two shows. That's something you can not miss this time!

So jealous! I asked the husband if he'd gotten my message with the info. He looked at me blankly and I said, "you know, my birthday suggestion?"
He said, "Oh, yeah, Georg doing Shakespeare. I got it."
But he didn't say no :-D

How lovely. I'm so sorry to miss it.
Especially since the gift I actually got for my birthday was an apron/oven mitt set. Yes, for real. Broadway show logos on them, but still. I don't wear aprons or use oven mitts.
Yes, we've been married a long time. Maybe too long :-(

bluesatinsashes Thanks for your lovely review and pictures. His youthfulness never ceases to amaze me. I'd already read another review online, but it's much more fun if there's one of us from this forum who's able to give his/her view as well. Do you remember any of the funny references to Prime Minister Trudeau and the government he made? Would love to hear them! Especially the ones about Trudeau! utility_singer aww, he'll have to make up for that next year. hehe Fingers crossed Chris does another show close to where you live, so you can actually go! Would've loved to have seen it as well. What a charmer... https://www.instagram.com/p/BHrz3yDjVTd

For those among us who enjoy the voice, here's a CBC radio interview about this show, with a few rather enjoyable throwbacks from the archives (including that hilariously pretentious discussion about sadness from the set of tSoM).

I love how he now says about that part on the set of TSOM they listened to, "I don't remember that AT ALL, I must've been terribly young and I sound so very very pompous." I was laughing so hard when he said that about his younger self!! Thank you so much for posting that, blaueaugen.

Thank you EVERYONE - for the first hand accounts, reviews and recording. As for you, utility_singer, I feel your pain. One year I got a cuisinart.
