One of my favourite Disney songs ever <3 Of course, this is the Christina Aguilera ver and not the movie (aka Lea Salonga!!!!) ver. Okay so this song isn't really "for maria" so I'm not even sure this is supposed to be here BUT I think diff parts of the song correspond to diff parts of Georg's life like G after Agathe's death and G with the Nazis and G to M when he first meets her and G to his children before M comes GAH I'm not making any sense just watch the vid and you'll see what I mean : )) (and also I think if you change "girl" to "man" it'll make a lot more sense haha imagine G dressed in a gown)

one of my new favorite songs...
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways Maybe just the touch of a hand Oh me I fall in love with you every single day And I just want to tell you I am...
So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are

How about this one? It's old school 80s, but I think it could fit.

Speaking of Teenage memories.... Oh God this song was played A LOT in my mid teenage years.... I had a huge crush on the class HUNK ME: the VERY quiet girl no one noticed... least of all HIM Story of my life.... until I met me Hubby Listening to it now brings back sooooo many mixed emotions from that time of my life If I had not been sitting across from me hubby (still need to use my small labtop computer as we still have to buy a looooong network cable to connect to my desktop computer:P ) I had been able to sing EVERY word of that song again

Especially this verse:
There's more here than what we're seeing A divine conspiracy That you, an angel lovely Could somehow fall for me You'll always be love's great martyr I'll be the flattered fool And I need you Yeah

I love that song! I don't know that version though, I've always listened to another version (which I love a tad bit more ) This is the version I know. I love the piano in the version I know.: Even though I didn't really like Moulin Rouge (and even though I love every other Baz Luhrmann movie), I think this song would be great for a Georg/Maria video as well. I've been listening to it non-stop for the past week. Plus Ewan McGregor singing is always a bonus. Oh how I loved him with Mr. Plummer in Beginners...utter brilliance the two of them together. I could watch them all day.:

eve93 , the Final Version is the only one I know! When I found the other one I was very confused for four minutes... And I was very confused when I heard the other version, never knew it existed. lol Your version seems a lot more recent? Is that possible? Because when you type in "One Republic All This Time" in Youtube, the first videos are only the version that I know (let's call it the piano version that's easier ) and that version is 6 years old. And all the fandoms who made a fan video with that song all seem to use the version I know as well. It seems to me that the "final version" you posted is just a newer, more upbeat version of the original one.

I investigated on iTunes, and the version I'm familiar with seems to be from the deluxe/reissued album which your piano version was originally on! And here I was thinking I was a pretty good OneRepublic fan

I've quite a lot of One Republic songs on my iPod as well, but can't say I'm an expert. I only know the most well-known (or what I think are the most well-known haha) songs. We both learned something today though.

I haven't heard that one before either but the lyrics are perfect. I love this Ed Sheeran song and whilst the lyrics aren't as good as the one above I just think it's so great. I might try and do a vid to it if I can find some time.
It's just another night And I'm staring at the moon I saw a shooting star And thought of you I sang a lullaby By the waterside and knew If you were here, I'd sing to you
So open your eyes and see The way our horizons meet And all of the lights will lead Into the night with me And I know these scars will bleed But both of our hearts believe All of these stars will guide us home

How about "My Maria" by Brooks & Dunn? I know it's an older song (actually written by B.W. Stevenson, but, I believe, the Brooks & Dunn version is much more widely known), but I definitely think lyrics totally fit (especially the ones I've put in bold):
"My Maria
Don't you know I have come a long, long way
I've been longing to see her When she's around she take my blues away
Sweet Maria
The sunlight surely hurts my eyes
I'm a lonely dreamer
On a highway in the skies
My Maria
Maria, I love you
My Maria
There were some blue and sorrow times
Just my thoughts about you bring back
My peace of mind
Gypsy lady
Your a miracle worked for me
You set my soul free
Like a ship sailing on the sea
She is the sunlight
When the skies are gray
She treat me so right, lady
Take me away
My Maria
Maria, I love you
My Maria
Maria, I love you"
I'm not really the biggest fan of country music, but I admit that this song always makes me smile and tap my feet. I've posted the version I'm familiar with below.

I've always been a 70's and 80's kind of music person, so here's "From The Beginning" by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.
YouTube Link to Song
I could probably make an entire video to just this song with clips from this movie.

Another Emerson, Lake & Palmer song that basically fits their situation perfectly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaoOvNJbV6YThere's a lyric about a flower growing that reminds me of the lyric, "Bloom and grow forever" from Edelweiss. Basically, anything I would put in my wedding playlist, could apply to Georg and Maria. Except for maybe a few, No Church in the Wild is a little too new.
