Thought it would be nice to do a little sightseeing in and around Salzburg: Here is a street in Salzburg This is the Mirabell gardens where some of the DoReMi sequence was filmed; the children ran through the hedging and covered walkways on the R and around the fountain pond in the centre. I think the final bars of the song where Julie hits her high note are at the far end. This photo is taken inside the Schloss Mirabell (which I think is on the L of the picture above).

Here is a view over Schloss Leopoldskron, the back of which was used for the filming of TSOM, with the Untersberg mountain beyond the lake. This is the rear of the house, where you can see the familiar loggia on the terrace with the balcony above it where Georg and Elsa broke off their engagement. This is the Mirror Room inside Schloss Leopoldskron, which inspired the decor for the ballroom in the film.

Here is the view down the lake from the house, and looking the other way. This is pretty Hallstad on one of the many lakes near Salzburg - how perfect can you get?!

Everyone is sightseeing - even Julie, at Schloss Anif, which appears in the opening sequence! END

It's so beautiful that even the film doesn't fully do it justice. I MISS SALZBURG SO MUCH!

Turns out we’ll be going to Salzburg for a few days next week and i just booked the “Edelweiss family room” at the Trapp Villa. The bike tour is booked for the 4 of us as well.
The kids are constantly singing Do-Re-Me in the car and driving us bonkers.
I read the Pegasus Landing one can only visit as a guest from the hotel?

Looking at recent photos on Google, it does look like it is in a hotel or private garden.

Check out my screensaver this morning. It changes every day and I'm always wondering where these beautiful places are that show up in the pictures, but today I was like - I know this one!!
I don't know if this really counts as "sightseeing", but all the sightseeing I can do these days in on my computer, so I figured I'd stick this here.
