For the new sparkle in her eyes and the roses in her cheeks had elicited in him the strangest feeling: that of the deepest hint of jealousy... Next: As Elsa swept up her glass of champagne, she looked at Max and gave a big wink. Damn, he thought. If only he'd put on his newly acquired black silk undershorts instead of the moth eaten pair that he'd found at the bottom of his suitcase. If he wasn't mistaken, he was onto a promise! Next: The frog that Louisa had only recently plucked from the banks of the lake, slipped and hopped down the smooth marble staircase.

The frog that Louisa had only recently plucked from the banks of the lake, slipped and hopped down the smooth marble staircase.
After watching the handsome fellow kissing the beautiful golden haired princess with the voice of an angel, he realised he'd been bested and hopped off to find himself another princess to save him.

They stood ashore watching it drift in silence and then Georg set off on his three hour walk home to fetch the car.

What was wrong with these imbeciles, he thought How on earth could a grown man singing about a silly white flower be so remarkable.
New: What harm could one little drink do? thought Max, as he hovered over his friend's finest bottle of whiskey like a moth drawn to a flame.

The answer seemed obvious and a tad ironic as he hovered over the dead body of his best friend's butler, swatting the moths away.

Maria was too nervous to eat. After spending a whole afternoon with Georg's elderly Aunt, being lectured on the horrors of her forthcoming wedding night, the Krainer Wurst sausage which dominated her dinner plate was making her feel quite queasy.
New: He had no idea what she was wearing but it certainly didn't do her any favours.

If she had been wearing an overcoat, he would have told her to take it off.
Too bad she was just wearing a nightie.
Next: "If you have any problems I would be happy to help you", said Elsa, leaving Maria guessing madly what she was intending.

She couldn't possibly be referring to the baby. Not after all the times she'd said how relieved she was that she'd never fallen pregnant.
NEW: If Maria was a better postulant, she would've run. Well not run, but left.

If Maria was a better postulant, she would've run. Well not run, but left. Well not left, but maybe taken a step back. And she definitely wouldn't have Moaned so loud as his tongue explored her mouth. Yes, she wasn't going to make a very good nun.

Of all the things she had learned about living with seven children there was one she considered the most important. Never underestimate the importance of doors that lock. From the outside.

She wasn't sure why she agreed to go to this party with him. But after a bottle or three of champagne and the passionate embrace they had shared behind the hedgerow Elsa Schraeder knew exactly why she was leaving with him, and who knew- maybe if she was lucky Maximilian Detweilet would make her hit that high note that would qualify her to compete in the festival.

Sisters Berthe and Margaretta rarely found themselves in agreement, but on this matter they were of like minds. Maria landed herself one sweet hunk of man candy.

"The Reverend Mother says, 'When the Lord closes a door, somewhere he opens a window'." "What else does the Reverend Mother say?" Maria sighed in exasperation, "Actually far too much in my opinion, so why don't you stop rambling on about the Reverend Mother and just kiss me senseless,"

Frau Schmidt bent down slowly to examine a strange object that had been left on the hall floor. "Oh, it's just the Captain's riding crop," she chuckled as she discreetly returned it to it's place in her employer's bedroom. (sorry nicky I know there was a more... suggested... direction for that one but I couldn't. I just couldn't). new: As Maria left the gazebo, she turned to the Captain and said the two words he had been dying to hear.

Elsa strode out onto the terrace where the couple were held in a clinch. "Really, Max, I know you're desperate," Elsa sighed impatiently. "But I've told you before not to take advantage of Georg when he's drunk." New: Maria lifted the flimsy lace material in the air by her fingertips and felt her cheeks redden at the very sight of it. ps. I'm not insinuating anything about Max's sexuality, I just thought it was quite funny.

It was the first time Liesl snuck in through the window since that night of the thunderstorm. And judging by the extremely crimson faces of her father and Fraulein Maria, that she found beyond the curtains... it would definitely be her last.

All Maria's singing about crisp apple strudel and schnitzel with noodles had given him the munchies...he just hoped his father hadn't got the same idea.
NEXT - Georg: All right, now who's going to be the first one to tell me the truth? Liesl: Where do you think we were, Father?
