I imagine this photo was taken around the same time as Julie did Darling Lili. She wrote about her time in that film when she was working with her husband Blake Edwards as the director on set in their first film together (from Home Work, her most recent memoir):
They found working together took some getting used to. In Darling Lili, Julie felt reticent about kissing the male lead in front of her new man; she was even more disconcerted when Blake shouted after the first take:"That was fine, Darling, but I know you can do better..."

Hmm, I don't think it's during that time. Darling Lili is 1970 and she looks young in this photo so I'm pretty sure it would be late 1950s (also going by the style of dress and the way the photo is coloured). But that is still so interesting. I reckon it would be pretty awkward to kiss someone else in front of your husband. His line about doing better is pretty funny though!
