I remember when I created the Floor Plans of The Von Trapp Villa (on the Artwork board), someone said they wanted to use the plans to create a von Trapp villa for Sims 2. The plans have been viewed 4,300 times (and rising), which has always puzzled me as we have only had 250 members, many of which are not active. How can this be?
I can only imagine that the plans have been incorporated somewhere (perhaps into Sims 2 somehow, as the vT villa ?), so each time they are viewed there the tally rises here. I am quite happy about this, because I created them for people to enjoy, but I wonder whether this could explain the inexplicably high viewing numbers? I don't play it myself, so know very little about it.

Well, it's really difficult to create a dream house in Sims and it usually takes very long time. Because you need to choose the similar foundations/paints/doors/windows/tiles/roof/plants from Sims' own gallery to build the house and then start shopping for furniture/appliances/decorations. And you probably need to go through the floor plans times and times again while doing these, that might explain why your plans got so many views. Luckily the package file I got today is an already-built house which saves me lots of work, but still I have been busy shopping for furniture for hours today.
The funny thing is, I've created a rich retired military officer character between furniture shopping and surprisingly he got a visitor as soon as he moved into the villa, it's another character I've made before, rich and beautiful Ms. Elsa. And this's totally random. Guess they're gonna be friends soon.

That's awesome. I thought about doing that (the family at least) back when I played (now I pretty much stick to Sims 3 and 4 - though very infrequently) but the max household limit is 8 sims. You'd need mods to be able to have everyone.

You'd need mods to be able to have everyone. I play Sims 3 too but I like Sims 2 the best by far. I haven't created the children for the household yet and will probably do it later through InSIMenator . My plan is to send some of the elder children to university so that the household would not reach the limit. But now the biggest problem is my Georg has a huge crush on Elsa after 3 minutes chatting and my Maria hasn't been created yet....
