Hey guys! First off, I'm not sure that this is the correct place for this thread, so apologies if it isn't.
Anyway. I am having major writer's block on 'My Maria' and have no clue what to do. I have tried binge reading, going through my writing prompts that I have saved and taking a break from writing altogether (for all of my fandoms). Nothing has really worked. Do you guys have any tips, suggestions and/or advice on how to get through writer's block or how to at least ease it? Thanks in advance!

Whenever I need inspiration for stories, or am having writer's block, I usually watch TSOM. It usually helps, but if that doesn't work, I take a (long) walk. I live near a nice walking path that usually isn't too crowded, and the fresh air helps to clear my head. While you are walking, just let your thoughts wander, and don't think too hard about not having anything to write about or about not having any ideas. If you do, you'll get really stressed and panicky (this is what happens to me, at least). I have found that brain dumps are also beneficial for me. Hope these strategies help!

I'm not the best writer (gosh, far from actually being able to call myself a writer, tbh) but what helps me through writer's block is creating a playlist! I gather some songs that I think fit the mood of the chapter or the story as a whole, or songs that remind me of the characters' personalities, etc. and then listen to them on loop. Then keep updating the playlist as you go so 1. you won't get as bored of it as easily, and 2. so it'll remain "faithful" to the story should you decide to change aspects. Usually, if playlists don't work for me, I read poetry, short stories, or maybe short chapters of novels and try to write sentences based on the lit piece. It usually gets my imagination going, and sometimes the sentence ends up in one of my stories if it's good enough. I hope this helps 💜 Good luck!

So, I need help again. How do you come up with interesting and unique titles for your fanfics? I am getting ready to write a new story for a different fandom (NCIS- Jenny/Gibbs pairing), and am unsure about a title. I am using a prompt and have a few ideas already, but I am curious.
Do you have any tips for coming up with a good, intriguing title?

I usually do one of two things, not that my titles are so brilliant. Either something drawn from a song or a poem that relates to the story, or a very simple single word prompt like "confidence." But I don't know why I do that!

That is a good idea. I'm gonna have to look through my playlists. If you hear loud, off-key singing, just know I am doing proper research.
