Does anyone want to guess then they began to fall in love with each other? I think it can be agreed that it wasn’t when she “sat on that ridiculous pine cone” or when he “blew that silly whistle." I would argue that, during the Edelweiss scene, it was clear that they both had an interest in each other, though I'm not sure if it was love at this point. For me, the Laendler really confirms their feelings for one another. What do you all think?

I think, like many a good fanfic has described, it happened in the part we don’t see between the argument at the lake and the puppet show. By Edelweiss they were realizing it, and the Laendler sealed the deal.

There is a thread on this called "Do you know when I first started loving you" in the movie observations folder that has some good theories.
I agree that Edelweiss is a realization that something is happening, but the Laendler is THE MOMENT for me.
