I was watching TSOM earlier today ('susual) and I had managed to grab this screencap that I entitled "some SoM adults: a summary" (please do help me think of a better title :')) linked here if it doesn't work below So now, I challenge anyone to caption or "meme" this! Have fun

juliemadlydeeply I'm finding it hard to improve upon that! I tried to do something with the fact that M&G are only looking at each other and everyone else is looking at them but ... I'm rubbish at this kind of thing.

Have fun I happened to stumble on this post and I still don't have a good caption for it, but I would like to say something else about this image. Perhaps it's just because I've been writing up a storm lately, but this image (and I imagine there are many others) is such an inspiration. Because someone who didn't know the story, would think that this fellow is, you know, a haughty aristocrat. I'm not even sure he looks fine and brave, because he seems kind of cold, or skeptical, or something like that. But even if you are with me and doesn't think he is already falling for her, we DO know that there is a fire burning inside this man, trapped inside that jacket. Just the little nudge my writing needs on a cold rainy spring morning!

Yes, and Julie looks -well- totally Maria (ie completely convincing), as well as totally honest, genuine, straight etc, compared to Elsa, who looks resentful, devious, unaccepting, begrudging. No wonder Georg is falling for Maria!

Everyone's expression in this picture is perfect for their personality. Maria is genuinely happy and open and innocent, Elsa is sophistocated and suspicious, Max is enjoying everyone's predicament while having a drink, Georg is proper but taken offguard by this new force in his life.
I have no caption, but it is a really fun screencap to look at!

The only thing I would add is that both Georg and Maria look perfect: Georg looks like a statue of Ideal Man, with his alabaster face - yum!
But Maria also looks perfect...too perfect, because in my book she still ought to be a bit untidy and chaotic, and it annoys me that her hair always looks 'just combed', as it does here. I just want to muss it up, the same way I want to muss up Georg's hair (but not for the same reason, you understand).

wow indigoblue you win the archivist award! I sometimes hesitate to click on those old links because some of them are, sadly, lost. I really enjoyed rediscovering this one!

Not quite captions, but here are two submissions: This is possibly the best meme format I have seen in a while. I don’t laugh easily but the second one has me cackling. Thank you.

I love the part about Georg walking away and then Maria and the children following, which leaves Max and Elsa (literally and figuratively) behind in this scene. I also really like the part about how everyone's eyes are on Georg but they are all seeking answers to different questions. Absolutely true! Cool article.
