Just curious. I've used the same handle for...more than fifteen years. (Math is hard, can I make custard instead?) How did y'all come up with your user names?
I was writing a fantasty novel when I found mine.

Mine is partly my name, people must think that because my name is Charlotte, that the 'Charley' is a shortened version, but actually it's a bit of a mashup. Charlotte Lauren 'Ley' (my middle name), and Paige being my mums middle name. I wanted to use her first name, but seeing as it's Julie, I realised that people would probably think I was referring to Ms Andrews  |

I'm with you, galan. I've had mine for 20 years, give or take (I've had it for so long it's very much my pseudonym by now!) It's a combination of the names of my very first heroines in two different fan fictions I was writing at the time (and both are nicknames/aliases for those characters, which I suppose is fitting). I'd never change it because it's a reminder of those days which sparked a lifelong love of writing. |

I usually have difficulty sticking with usernames and I couldn't tell you why though. For this platform, I use Silver-White-Winters because where I live in Michigan (30ish minutes from Lake Michigan), winters are always so pretty. The various silvers, whites, blues and then the green of the pine trees. Also, winter always holds fond memories of things my siblings and I have done (if you want funny stories, I have loads of them). The only things I truly don't care for when it comes to winter is the cold, the fact that there is almost always snow on my birthday at the beginning of spring (end of March), and the fact that when snow starts to melt, EVERYTHING gets terribly muddy and slushy. Oh, I forgot to add that another thing I love about winter is that it's hilarious when people from out of state (with the exception of most of the Midwestern states) try to drive during MI winters.
As for my FF Net handle (The Delta Queen)? Well, I just can't make up my mind one that I want to use. Delta comes from the Tanya Tucker song Delta Dawn & Queen is because well, it has a nice ring to it when paired with Delta. Also, Tanya is one of the queens of country music (50yrs in the music business).
Apologies if the reply to this thread seems a little long lol. I get excited about things like fanfiction & music and sort of ramble.

My name is Isa and I liked how it sounds when you put together many similar letters consecutively. Besides, most of the nicknames about the movie (or our beloved Captain) were already chosen or either I couldn't find any good enough and I was in a hurry to get in here!
