Happy you like! A Chris fan shared it with me, I still need to find time to watch it entirely. I'm always looking for outtakes, behind the scene, bloopers and all that stuff of tsom that I'm sure the studios owns

This is fascinating: I've had a chance to see some stills of Maria's room at the Abbey where she was in seclusion (which must have been cut from the film) around 1:38:00. Have a look!

Good catch, Indigo. Her room has much more natural light than anywhere else they show in the abbey, and is bigger than I expected it to be (although, certainly not huge). I like that her cross (that we see in her room at the villa) is on her desk in her room at the abbey. Good attention to detail.

elsewhere I posted a screencap I grabbed from here, of her plunging toward him, which I felt was possibly an "outtake?" (I don't know if they kept recordings of outtakes back then like they did now.) But I can't find it right now.

Locations: From approx 44:00 to 51:00, there is an interesting resume written by the scouting team who were looking for suitable locations around Salzburg for the film.
In photos and notes, you get an idea of the concepts they had for the locations, and how they ended up combining several sites to get the final effects which we know so well.

Hair from 1:14:21,
Costume designs from: 1:15:43 to 1:18:00
Mississa, do you know where this is from? There is no info on the YouTube comment box, but there is so much original stuff on here it must be from 20th Century Fox.

Check out this profile in Instagram https://instagram.com/christophplummer?utm_medium=copy_link (I've already asked her how she got the video and sadly she doesn't remember any more info, just in case you've thought to ask her too🤪). It's a nice account dedicated to our beloved Plummer. I don't know anything else about the video, but it looks like it's coming out of the studios, totally agree with you indigoblue

From 1:26:00 onwards, good stills of sets and rehearsals, many of which I've not seen before, including at 1:29:25, one of Liesl climbing in to Maria's bedroom from the OUTSIDE...I think!

Cool, Indigo. Thanks for posting the exact times on so many behind the scenes gems. I took a screen pic of Liesl climbing in the window. I have to admit, in all of my musings about the trellis, it never looked quite like this. hahaha. Attachments:

1:07:20 - 1:08:15 Robt Wise's letter responding to Christopher Plummer who had written to him with details of how he saw the character of Capt von Trapp.

It makes me smile to think that Robt Wise was considering Walter Matthau for the role of Capt von Trapp. Whilst a good actor, I don't feel he would have had quite the same knockout effect as out Mr P!!

If you ever wished you could have seen them rehearsing the scenes, this is as good as it'll get, with photo stills from 1:25:00 onwards, including:
1:26:00 (approx) My Fave Things 1:38:00 Maria's Room in seclusion 1:40:40 The kids stuffed into the caretaker's car at the Abbey 1:44:00 The Wedding scene and how it was lit (with difficulty!) 1:47:41 Eleanor Parker arrives in style by plane 2:05:48 The rowboat scene

Aargh! I had the same problem last night and hoped it was a temporary glitch, but no, it has happened again.
Anybody got any ideas?

I find that puzzling: as we agreed, there was so much original material in there that it must have been put there by the movie-makers. So who has wiped it?

What a shame! I think it was an upload of a special feature from a reissue years ago in a format that doesn’t exist anymore.
