I love that the (remaining) kids showed up to be with her for her Lifetime Achievement Award. Thinking of all of her movies and other endeavors, she could have had any number of people there to share her joy in this award. It shows how strong of a bond they have, that they all were there together, even though this movie was made almost 60 years ago.

I read recently that Julie made $250,000 from the SOM film. (Compared to Mary Martin who played Maria on stage for years, and earned nearer $8m.)
Does anyone know what the kids earned, and what do you think of Julie's earnings?

It sounds ridiculously low by today's standards. Though, actors/actresses didn't make crazy money then like they do now. Plus, she was relatively unknown since Mary Poppins wasn't even out yet. Do you think she gets royalties from the movie? I'm guessing not. It's amazing the contributions some people have made that are not properly compensated. I was talking to my husband about this same topic yesterday, but with musicians. I like 60s and 70s classic rock. Most of those musicians didn't make hardly any money from their music, yet it has stood the test of time.
What did CP make for TSOM?

I'm not sure, but I remember the kids were always sore that they made a very small amount from the film (ie no royalties, I believe).
That's why they brought out the SOM Scrapbook, to make use of all their memorabilia and to make something financial out of it.
