What do you think Elsa's house looks like? Being in Vienna, she probably did not have the extensive grounds that Georg had in Salzburg. Though, she had to have a really nice place right? Is it bigger than Georg's villa? More cluttered with paintings, exotic knick knacks, etc.? There must be a ballroom to host parties. How much staff would she employ?
I'm not sure how I picture her villa exactly, so I'm trying to get ideas from all of you.

you could have fun with this great question by pondering things like: is it all inherited from whomever Baron Schrader was? Or has she made it her own with light feminine touches? I bet there are some fiercely loyal servants who have been with her forever. A maid maybe? Does she have huge custom built dressing room?

I think the money was all from her late husband, but that he gave her free reign to decorate as she pleased, as she would be much more capable of this than he would. Absolutely she has a huge custom dressing room and extensive closets. Maybe this space is even completely separate from her husband's area so that she could not be seen until she looked perfect? The entertaining space would need to be grand and glorious. Did they live in a fancy building with a doorman and extravagant lobby? Did they have a whole building to themselves, but it was touching other buildings on each side (as many city buildings do)? Did they have a view of anything in particular? Did they live out of downtown and have space for gardens?

My thinking is that Elsa still lives in the house she and her husband lived in, which reflected his huge wealth; a villa in the park, perhaps, with chauffeurs and a butler, maids in black with pinnies. Garages for the cars, a beautiful garden and light and airy decor inside the villa to reflect its stylish host. No ballroom, I think; Elsa has the use of rooms in the Vienna Opera for large occasions, which are far grander than anything one could have at home.
Oh, and small white dogs on leads for laps - she left hers behind in Vienna as she didn't want it to be a distraction between her and Georg at the villa!
