I haven't written a lot in the last few years, partly because life, but partly because after I finished my last long story, which was called "Untouched," I challenged myself to do something you might or might not be interested in: I've always loved Georg's dark side, but I wondered just how much of a creep could I make him while leaving open the possibility of redemption? I've been working forever on a long story called "As Certain Dark Things," which is a little creepy, honestly. I'm not publishing it on ff dot net, partly because that site has been so broken but partly because this story is a little, um, different, in ways that won't become apparent for a few chapters. Instead I published it on AO3, which I'd wanted to learn more about anyway. You are welcome to visit me there. Maybe at some point I will also publish on ff dot net, IDK. As Certain Dark Things

augiesannie I just read the first chapter and I absolutely LOVE it!! I am a sucker for a dark, seductive Georg (which I seem to encounter a LOT more on AO3 than ff.net...) and your version of him is so beautifully written. I'm so very excited to see where the story goes from here (Also, on an unrelated note, the Neruda poem you referenced in the title is one of my favorites haha)

You've been threatening to post this for awhile. I'm glad you finally did. Do you feel relief about that or nervousness?
It's great so far btw. You know I love that he admits that he was "unforgivably rude to the girl" and feels guilty about "his callous treatment of his governess". Both of which, I am assuming, are talking about my favorite scene to hate.
Oh, the retracing of the Laendler, not once, but twice! *sigh* And that kiss! Wow!
I can't promise that I'll make it through the whole story it if gets TOO creepy, but the first chapter is great!
