I think I know what the winner's going to be but maybe you'll surprise me. And we'll have fun discussing the, um, losers.

Oooh that's a tough one! I love red, and I think both of her red ensembles (if not all the outfits she wore!) looked very good on her. With the exception of her lavender new mother/isn't this wonderful Georg?! - dress. Ugh. Sorry Brigitta, but Elsa's dress is without a doubt the ugliest dress I ever saw..
Still, if I had to pick one, I'd go for her lakeside suit. I love her blouse! Though I'd kill for her "farewell" dress.. And a matching figure to fit into it :-)

I voted the lakeside suit as well. While I like it just generally, I think it shows her character best---here she is in the country to visit the children for the first time, and she wears what is the most child-unfriendly, spike heels-caught-in-the-grass outfit you could imagine. Shows how completely wrong she is for the life she would share with Georg.

Ah, yes, but doesn't she look absolutely knockout in it?!

Yes, but really she looks great in everything except that lavender dress. Motherhood just does not suit the baroness at all!

I love the fairytale party dress, although she does look very good in red.

oh man... i hate the lakeside dress! but i love red and the farewell dress is gorgeous. i love red, but that lakeside dress... no.
the ball gown is a very close second. and i like the long edelweiss skirt is pretty. eleanor parker rocked them all.

I thought everyone would like the party dress! I love it when you guys surprise me. Let's see what other voters have to say, the polls are open, well, indefinitely.

Really? I cannot stand that party dress. But, again, it is perfect for her character---glitzy and fluffy, when Georg was searching for something simple and real.

good insight. I'll be careful to keep it in mind should I ever need to dress for a rendez vous with him. (IDK who sees me on FB but I have spent the whole night packing, I feel like a Barbie doll!)

I'm not sure I'd need to dress.

simple and real may have been what he wanted, but G is a man. and E is a knockout. and i have a feeling he totally approved of that gown on her.
"on" being the operative word. your story is still on my brain, utility.

Yeah, I like most of them...for me it was really a tie between party and farewell. I also have the clothes to make an outfit scarily similar to the puppet show outfit

Just can't resist posting this: how much more stunning can you get? Applicants for the Baroness Fan Club can begin applying now (current membership 3, I think; maybe 2. Or 1 if Lemacq so dislikes this outfit she doesn't renew her subscription).

sorry. i don't get the appeal of that dress. she pulls it off (not literally, but hey... who really knows) but i don't particularly like that shade of red. and the bow.
and i don't think i have to renew. i have a lifetime membership.

I think it communicates what it needs to about who she is: that she's elegant but also fun, not afraid to be out there a little bit.

Surely the Captain pulls it off...by pulling at the bow? Lisab - I will put forward your application papers pronto (we need all the support we can get!)

Err... Is it just me or is it getting rather hot in here? Oh my.. This is quite an *cough* interesting *cough* turn of events... I need a drink to let this all sink in. If you'll excuse me, I going to plunder our man's liquor cabinet..

I stumbled upon this lovely website where one can buy beautiful vintage clothing.. From stockings to shapewear, petticoats and prom dresses. I found some stunning items, and though it's inspired by the 40's, you can clearly see similarities to Elsa's wardrobe. I've attached some pictures I saved.. Will post more if I find more Elsa-ish outfits.
