ok, thought about it... wasn't as hard as i thought. i find myself singing this a lot. so i pick this. but the fact is i love all the music. i used to hate 'climb ev'ry mountain' as a kid, but now i think it is just lovely. and 'i have confidence' is just JA doing what JA does so well...
but i'll stick with my first answer.
which i neglected to mention was 'my favorite things'... duh.

I love them all, but 'Maria' has a nostalgia that the others don't because it was the one they played during the wedding, which was my favourite part. So I went with that.

My Favourite Things for me -love the melody, and it is the one which most frequently gets sung by my kids as they walk along the corridor (even caught my husband whistling it the other day!)

Edelweiss is my favorite song. I love that song and I love that sing with the Captain singing it. So much is said without any dialogue between the characters. I go around singing it sometimes. Just love it.

Oh man, this is too hard of a question to answer! Also, I can't seem to participate in the poll.
I must say that it's a three-way tie between The Sound of Music, Edelweiss, and Climb Ev'ry Mountain (I even quoted the last line of Climb Ev'ry Mountain for my high school graduation bio/write-up for the yearbook!).
On another note, the funnest song to sing is The Lonely Goatherd. I just love going up and down octaves and changing registers as I yodel!

TSOM got my vote, too.
I had not seen the movie since I was a child, and I had forgotten most of it since I was not into musicals then (my mother was and still is). But a couple of months ago when I decided to watch the movie again, I was completely blown away by JA singing TSOM in the opening scene. I literally felt chills. And later, when the Captain sings TSOM with the children, it always brings tears to my eyes, and I have to sing with them as well.
Not to mention the lyrics are incredible. It's just a beautiful, beautiful song.
