The first one wouldn't play but I LOVED the others, especially "Paradise" - the lyrics fit the images so well!
The way to embed a video is as follows: when you have created a thread, look at the little icons along the top - and find the one that looks like one of those things that they use when they film movies. (on my screen, it's the fifth icon from the right, it's yellow and black). It will give you two boxes to fill in. One of them is the link (it already says http://, so you have to erase that part if it's also in your link). The other box is where you type the word you want people to click on, like "here" or "this link" or "my favorite". Let me know if it works! And you are so smart to think about doing it a bit at a time, we don't want to trigger any spam alerts! More soon, please!

thanks! I was able to watch the first one and it's my favorite too, - it's almost like the visual equivalent of fan fiction, taking people and images we already love and mixing them up to make them newly enjoyable.

gothic, this was just utterly perfect! The way the music matched what we were seeing on the screen was really a work of art. And that's high praise coming from me: I am usually not much of a TSOM songfic or songvideo person, but this is an example where the song really makes the scene even richer and more meaningful.
I remember thinking that this song would make a TSOM fic or video. It never occurred to me it would be about Elsa, which apparently occured to lemacd, though I am certainly not an Elsa-hater.

you know me, outside the box thinker. it really is a great video and the song totally tells the gut wrenching parts of TSOM captured so well in this video. and i'm a sucker for the gut wrenching parts. and eleanor parker was the queen of total emotional breakdowns in her other movies. so maybe that is why i go there. i'm not team elsa when it comes to dear captain. but i do hope she found happiness.

I know we had talked about the John Legend song "All of me" and I know at least myself and mie779 (and probably many more of us) have used it as 'inspiration' for writing love scenes between Maria and Georg. I found this clip that ran TSOM clips together using that song as the background music. It is totally swoon-ilicious! I think my favourite bit is when they run the start of the Laendler in slo-mo and it fades into B&W... Oh wow-ser!! |

after watching @charleybec's video, i noticed this one that i haven't seen before. the song is the one i listened to on a loop when writing ch. 9 of 'if love finds you worthy'. unfortunately, this video didn't use the version i listened to... in fact, i'm not a fan of this version. for one thing, the volume is messed up (at least on my computer) and... the other is just better. but it is a nice video anyway.

(won't go into detail... but there are a lot of things that stress me out at the moment, things that have not gone as planned, people who I both love suddenly no more on speaking terms, economy gone bonkers and down hill... :/ ;( ) Thanks for brightening up my night... will now dream TSOM romance and hear this song as background music Just what I needed |
