There is a new writer on fanfiction.net with the name 34Aigen. The story is good, just wondering if this person is part of our group here.

he/she has not revealed it if that is the case. i wonder if the the name refers to the villa, because the vTs lived at 53.

I was being polite. I don't do confrontations that well. But you are exactly right!

I don't do polite that well, so it's all good.
I am all for using proper terminology for body parts when talking to my doctor, to telling my kids about their bodies, or having a serious medical discussion. Not in my romantic stories. Flowery terms, please.

rose. daffodil. hydrangea. petunia. I'm all hot and bothered now. (actually I am more hot and bothered than by the anatomy lesson!)

Edelweiss, darling. You forgot the edelweiss. So funny... but seriously, I for one aren't going back to that story.

Maybe I didn't read the whole thing. I was wondering what story so many of you didn't like. I'll go re-read it, but then, maybe I'm better off not reading it again! I think maybe I only read part of the first chapter, so that's why it didn't bother me.
Update: I just re-read the first chapter and it's not bad at all. I think I never got around to reading the rest of it and maybe I'll just leave it at that!

the first chapter was actually quite lovely. i wouldn't really recommend the rest, either.

Paula, it seemed like it went from Romance Novel straight to a letter in Penthouse or Playboy.

I just saw on ff,net that the story has been updated and the rating changed to "T" but nothing in the content of those vile chapters has changed (OK I was curious). Oh dear... it really should have been left as "M rated". Cringe.....

i started reading it again because i guess i forgot the title (or she changed it... assuming it is a "she") and it was different but... then i looked at the reviews and they were the same for the M story, so... i was confused. and confused means i'm done with it.

I'm just procrastinating with other stuff so I was on ff.net and I saw it and I remembered it but I just had to check when I saw the rating change. I'm like a child that sees a "wet paint don't touch" sign (or maria going into the ballroom when she has been told to stay where she was, but of course if she had, there wouldn't have been any of that door slammin' action, but i'm getting off topic).

i cringed, then i laughed. then laughed, and then cringed. and then i think maybe i cried a little. then i laughed again.

Yes, I think the title was changed. I remembered the author, though, so I looked through and it was indeed the same. The same crass words, and another chapter that included an equally graphic description. No thanks.

what was to be gained by changing titles and rating? weird.

I haven't the slightest idea.

that's a common thing people do, which is to leave M content in a chapter with a warning and then rate a story T so everyone can see it. I don't agree with that practice! I do think she probably toned down the newest chapter because of some of the feedback she got...

That scene on the train wasn't very toned down.
I obviously don't have a problem with M content, and I struggle sometimes with not making things too graphic. There's just something about the word choices of this author that makes it squicky, not sexy.

Squicky?

Icky and squirmy, and not in a good way.

squicky. perfectly onomotopoetic. My comment about toned down referrred only to the new chapter.

Ok. When I looked there were 2 more than the last time, the one on the train was new to me as well.
