I like that you pulled out that quote, @charleybec. I really think the rewrite of the character done for the movie made this more obvious than it was for him as written for the stage. The stage version, particularly with the songs/discussions with Elsa, made it seem he was more willing to do as she and Max did----go along to get along. |

I have a picture of the real George von Trapp when he was married to Agatha. He had the most beautiful brown eyes I've ever seen. He was certainly a very handsome man.
