In real life (i.e. EP) or the character?
I'm guessing the character right?
42

I'll go with 42. I think she's likely the same age as G, if not a year or two older. If Maria is 22-ish, and G is 20+years older, then that would make them 42. She certainly isn't younger than 40, I wouldn't think.

If you put her beside someone from today who was of roughly the same age and social level, she would appear older, I reckon.

I'd put Elsa at no younger than 40 and no older than 45, myself. But, as they say, Eleanor Parker is the woman of a thousand faces, and can be made up to represent anything. I wouldn't necessarily base Elsa's age on hers.

When I write, I like to writ M and G as how old they were in reality (22 and 47) and I like to think of Elsa as probably a couple of years younger than G (so 42-44)

Whatever age she is, you can tell she is a woman of style by the way she slings the leopard she has just killed around her neck...

She was just stunningly beautiful. and a really good actress, as demonstrated by the way she leaves us feeling ambivalent about her character - I always think of how the tears well up in her blue eyes when Georg starts his little speech to her on the balcony - and yet she has her cold side, needless to say.
