Yes. Something like that. Considering the Mutual Attraction they've finally admitted to, I could see some additional flirting going on during that episode. For sure.

Oh......they flirt now when they're together so I'm not sure that's it a stretch to think that they did it back then as well.

I'm talking about Georg and Maria.

I think it's the soft filter (or is it soft lighting?) that makes the whole scene look so divine. Robert Wise is a genius.
But yes, those screencaps just left me sadlkfjklfewgnknb!!!!!!!!!

I'm talking about Georg and Maria. Yes of course. Let's stick to the characters! So this may be just in my mind, but in my stories, Georg tends to run his hand through his hair A LOT (what is with that?) when he's thinking and/or working out what to do. Perhaps all that thinking and deciding and breaking it off with Elsa then thinking and deciding how to approach Maria made him muck his hair up?

Well I don't see that in the movie so much, but whenever he's nervous or thinking he seems to pull on his ears quite a bit and wiggle those fingers. The lighting definitely plays a roll in adding to the romantic atmosphere of this scene. Some it very much reminds me of some of the Thomas Kinkade photos with the way the colors just seem to pop out and even though idea to film them in silhouette came about because of their giggles and think it adds a lot as well.

When he is sitting on the bench his hair is halfway to his honeymoon hair (oops, alliteration!)in terms of swooshiness, I mean. But in Utility's avatar he doesn't seem to have any swoosh or peak. In fact it's rather sleek - photo taken on a different day?

the swoosh was at its worst during the party, I think, and also the scene where they meet. we need to plot the swoosh in pictures, the way we once plotted all his finger wiggles a year or so back.

I have to say the amount of over analysis you ladies seem prone to pleases me in the best way. Not that I obsess or anything but yes an indepth invetigation into Georg's hair maybe be in order.

This is definitely the community for obsessors.

Well I do agree but I think we upped the ante with our analysis after I started that thread (and it was possibly a stupid title for a thread but there you go... I am sometimes quite silly )

Let's face it though ladies he could be wearing some of those play clothes made from drapes and we would still be swooning over him because he would make the drapes look good.

Lol! Hahaha, that's great frakkinghack!! Btw I think you're going to find that most of our conversations lead back to CP. We could be talking about nuns and vespers and it would somehow lead back to a discussion on Captain Von Trapp. I figured that one out after being here for a week, lol.

Yes, that's it, thank you bluesatinsashes. I knew I remembered that it was very racy and yet not M rated. I'm always in awe of when people can do that. That writer, MaraSil, she wrote a lot of stories like that, I wish she were still around. I'm sure cass knew her.

It is so perfectly and delicately written. I can imagine exactly how this scene can play out if it was in the movie. I don't read a lot of fanfiction, let alone TSOM fanfiction, but this one is my favourite one: www.fanfiction.net/s/5395726/1/On-the-Veranda

OK ladies, not the gazebo scene I know, but I was just looking at this screencap to see how his hair had transformed after his honeymoon and all that went on there, when - I swear - he turned and almost winked at me! Just hope he will do the same for you...

That writer, MaraSil, she wrote a lot of stories like that, I wish she were still around. I'm sure cass knew her. I knew of her, but my accomplices were the true fans and were the ones who interacted with her. This particular brand of tenterhooking isn't to my taste. I read a few stories and admire the level of skill exhibited, though. That is some true talent, there. And don't you all get me going on Georg in ANY gazebo, not after what he put me through with An Indecent Proposal!! I'm still recovering from that hostile takeover. If I ever forgive him for running away from me, I might concede to a secondary spinoff kind of thing in which all of my thoughts regarding the gazebo come to bear, but as it is I'm struggling to regain some shred of control with the both of them. They're absolutely awful. Just wicked. Sigh.
