This was a little gem of a discovery Thanks for posting it augiesannie! I especially like that as they pan through all the glittering people and the fancy room there is Richard Haydn--doing the fish face!

Ah yes, I love this little video. I came across it one day and had almost forgot about it. Didn't think about posting it on here. Thanks for sharing this little gem augiesannie.

I just love these clips you find, Anne, especially the ones of everyone on set, or before filming has even started; for me they fill in on a big blank that I think about in idle moments, about what the actors were thinking when TSOM was just a twinkle in Robert Wise's imagination, and how they related to each other and brought out the best in each other.
I fascinates me to think that the TSOM we know and love was all there in those peoples' minds then, except fragmented between each person. They all had their own ideas to give, but it was the combination of all these under Robt Wise's influence that created something so much bigger that is still huge, fifty years later.

I love how things like this were reported back before the TMZ/24 hour news cycle. I know no one is perfect but I liked it better when famous people could be out in the public but their privacy was still respected.
