Ever since I was a kid, I have always wondered what she was implying in this scene. You know, when Gretl and fails to catch the tomato that Maria tossed to her. Gretl makes a sad face and then Maria points a finger...what is she trying to say? Btw, I think our go-to TSOM screencap website went kaput! I just checked and it says that the website is offline Which means that most of the pictures from our game "Maria Says" are gone!! I had to search elsewhere for screencaps to get the following one :/ Maria: Don't worry, I've got something even more special that's waiting for you and you're gonna love it! Any takers on this one?

Yeah, either that or maybe something like "Mm! Gretl, we've been through this, no crying!" and that's why gretl smiles afterward? Haha And oh my oh no! does anyone know what happened?

I think she's just trying to tell her that there are certain things in life not worth crying over.
Yes, I just tried it to and it isn't working. Perhaps they are doing maintenance work on the site?

"Gretl? What did I tell you before we left the villa? "
"When The Lord drops a tomato, somewhere someone gets to eat spaghetti?"
"Right-o!"

Oh, this one dawned on me some time ago (but it took a while to realise): it's a follow-on from the previous scene of My Favourite Things and the lyrics about ~
'When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad.... I simply remember my Favourite Things and then I don't feel...so bad!'.
Gretl feels (and looks) sad when she drops a tomato, so Maria points to make her remember to think of her Favourite Things, after which Gretl feels (and looks) happier!
