I think out of all those stories she tells, the one about the Japanese tourists in Switzerland cracks me up the most.

Haha, yeah, I've never heard of that story until I read the article! Also, I had no idea that she had a home in Switzerland.

Oh if I was a tourist in Switzerland and was out hiking around and came across Julie Andrews singing The Sound Of Music, I would go crazy with excitement. I mean what are the odds, lol.

Doesn't she look just stunning in that photo of her at the end? Simply amazing for eightyish!

She is a classy woman who ages very well. I hope I look that good at 80.

She's had work, but it is very good work and doesn't make her look like the current crop of Hollywood freaks.

This crossed my mind recently. Is this what she was talking about? Between 0:00 and 0:05
There was a picture from it too, but I can't find it atm.

Yes, that was what she was referring to - the MGM screen test I think around 1947 and it was that failed screen test that led to the rumour that perhaps Julie wasn't photogenic enough to be on the big screen hence Robert Wise (and the guy who directed the AofE) getting to see some rough cuts of Mary Poppins before she got offered either role (but of course Julie is incredibly photogenic!! wonderful on screen!)

Yeah that's it. I couldn't get bothered looking it up (or trying to remember) as I was in a rush.
