I don't even need that music----there is a great new song called "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice, and I heard the words and the rhythm and thought it would be a wonderful compilation video for our couple. link

He's been on the country charts for the last few years---went to college on a football scholarship and started his music career after an arm injury. He's from South Carolina, I think.

You know you have watched TSOM too many times when...
...You are dancing with your husband in the old-fashioned way (white tie and tails for the gentlemen, ballgowns for the ladies); and for a moment, just a moment, it feels as though you are...

You know you've watched TSOM too many times when... ...you write out some reused dialogue from the gazebo scene (in a fan fic) and DON'T have to look it up online... you just KNOW you got it right... (some slightly changed but only for the purpose of the story... )

Knowing the Gazebo scene by heart is basically a requirement, isn't it? :-)
Of course, if one doesn't, all that means is that they must watch the movie again and we all know how terrible that is!

Well I first realised I'd seen it one time too many when I was listening to music on shuffle and noticed I could relate each song to one character or another. And then I made a game of it. Suddenly the traffic didn't seem so bad.

I'm glad you liked it. It's the only way to survive the traffic here in Brazil because of the world cup. I hope it gives you lots of fanfiction ideas

You read that July is National Blueberry Month and immediately think of Friedrich.

During my nap I had a dream that I took my 8 yr old son to see a midnight showing of TSOM and got into fight with an old lady at intermission. Not making this up. She kept changing her seat and moving my things so my son could sit with her and it really ticked me off.

....when you reread a sappy romance novel you've read waaaaaaaaaay back in your teenage years... and start to picture the "hero" (tall dark and hansom type) as being CPlums.... *drool*

So for my organic chemistry class, I handwrite all my notes from the reading. Lately we've been using something called the Hammond postulate, which comes up quite a lot. And every single time, I end up accidentally writing "Hammond postulant" instead.
The issue here is that I write all my notes in ink...

When you hear a character on a tv show you're watching say, "It all starts with a dance." and you immediately think of the Laendler.

I drive my mom crazy while doing the dishes together.. Because I start whistling Edelweiss every single time for some unknown reason.. FYI: I whistle horribly.. Especially while "belting"...

...when my two girls are playing a silly game on the couch and stand behind me, then they start saying "kuk kuk" (it's a danish word similar to "Peekaboo") while they hang around my back and look over my shoulder (trying to get my attention).... AND you just SEE the "so long farewell" scene for your inner eye... well because it sounds pretty much like the word "cuckoo" they sing in that song...

...when you get hyper while watching "the triplets" with your 3 year old because they get into the "the seven little goats" book and you realize the goats are called Do, re, mi fa... And I know it's not directly connected to the movie but... well... that's my point. (Also I had the biggest urge to spell "doe" so...)

...when your friend (who is only a mild TSOM fan) makes the mistake of asking a probably rhetorical question about the real Trapps at dinner and is subjected to the entire history of the family.

I was thinking about how ABC's annual holiday airing is this weekend and it reminded me of last year: I had been watching TSOM upstairs on my computer when my friend texted me to tell me it was on TV. So I paused TSOM halfway through, went downstairs to watch TSOM, and when it was over I went back upstairs and finished the rest of TSOM.
